The Wednesday group meets online at 7:30 PM via Zoom for prayer and an informal discussion on the gospel reading.

Men’s Bible Study Group – every other Tuesdays, 7pm, starting September 22
This group meets in the church itself on comfy chairs in a circle behind the communion table. The setting is peaceful and the discussion is relaxed, wide-ranging and supportive. Led by Deacon Gary

Fourth Fridays Discussion Group –  monthly on the 4th Friday, online 7:00-8:15pm 
Attend the Fourth Friday Zoom on the fourth Friday of each month for a light theological discussion, which includes Scripture readings, a short reflection, discussion, and some multi-media elements.  No registration required; just show up.

Managing Grief –  (Paused for the summer)

in the parking lot north of the church on Centre St.
(Please note Centre Street is one-way southbound.)

All Saints Foodbank is a permanently-operating source of food for members of the community.  It is our way of being church and showing the love of God to our neighbours so that everyone can have their daily bread and know of the provision of the Lord.

Food can be dropped off at the church parking lot between 1- 3 PM on the third Saturday of every month. We will have volunteers unloading your car and taking the food supplies into the foodbank at the church.

Donations of the following items are in demand:

canned pasta, canned soups, cereal, Saltine crackers, cookies, canned tuna fish, canned sardines, canned tomatoes, instant coffee, canned kidney beans, Kraft Dinner, peanut butter and personal hygiene products for men and women (e.g., soap, shampoo, razors, deodorant and, toilet paper)

All Saints’ is a member of Feed the Need in Durham (FTND). Weekly orders from FTND help sustain and further develop our food supply for those who come in increasing numbers to the foodbank each week.

A recent provincial policy change requires charitable organizations to pay for recycling collection services. This has negatively impacted foodbank operations, creating additional costs that reduce funds available for those we serve.

We invite parishioners to join a letter-writing campaign asking the local member of provincial parliament to support reversing this policy. A template letter is provided here to make participation easy. Print out the letter, add your signature and any post script you feel might be helpful. Mail it to the MPP’s office or send it by email to lorne.coeco@pc.ola.org (cc financewarden@allsaintswhitby.org so we know how the campaign is going). Your voice can help ensure that financial resources of the food bank are spent on the people who depend on it and not on waste pickup.

You can also modify the letter and send to the Mayor of Whitby or the federal Member of Parliament, asking them to help keep up pressure on behalf of All Saints’ Foodbank.
