Our Ministry Team and Staff

The Rev. Jennifer Schick
Incumbent | Email

Mother Jennifer is a leader with a passion for seeking and exploring new ways to share the faith of Jesus and connecting people in community. Born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, and with a background in international development and experience with organizations such as World Vision Canada, Jennifer received her Masters of Divinity from the University of Toronto’s Trinity College and was ordained to the priesthood in 2011. Following her curacy at St. Cuthbert’s Leaside, Jennifer joined the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Toronto as Associate Priest (for Children and Youth), where she empowered volunteers to nurture discipleship among everyone from toddlers to teens through a wide range of programming. At the Church of St. Bede, Jennifer served as Priest-in-Charge, where she strengthened the congregation by helping grow outreach and other ministries. When not at church, Jennifer enjoys spending time with friends and family, the great outdoors, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, on her yoga mat, or working on a new puzzle of some kind. Jennifer is married to her beloved husband Shane and together they have three wonderful children; Nolan, AJ and Emily Grace, who are all members of the parish.

The Rev. Geoff Lloyd
Assistant Priest | Email

Geoff was born and raised in Truro, Cornwall. He studied Modern Languages at Manchester University, and in 1970, became a police officer in London, serving 4 years in uniform before becoming a detective at New Scotland Yard, serving in Special Branch and the Anti Terrorist Squad until his retirement in 1995. During his police career he was sent to the Army School of Languages to learn Arabic and spent most of his time thwarting and investigating terrorist attacks emanating from the Middle East. Geoff felt God’s call to him in the late 1970s and was baptized and confirmed in 1978. He became a Lay Reader in the Diocese of Rochester, UK in 1986 before training for ordination part time from 1992 to 1995. He served his curacy in Bromley, Kent, and then went to the Diocese of Exeter where he served as Incumbent in two rural parishes, the last being in Horrabridge near Plymouth, Devonshire. For the last 5 years of his ministry he served as the Rural Dean of Tavistock overseeing 27 rural parishes mostly in the National Park of Dartmoor. Geoff retired in 2011 and emigrated to Canada with his Canadian wife Dianne. He has served as Honorary Assistant at St George Memorial and St Matthew, both in Oshawa. Upon moving to Whitby several years ago, he and Dianne felt God was calling them to put down roots in All Saints and they have enjoyed serving the parish since then.

In 2015, as part of its commitment to support the findings of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, PWRDF developed the interactive “education for reconciliation” resource Mapping the Ground We Stand On. Using animation, videos, full and small group talking opportunities and more, this workshop, also known as the Mapping Exercise, invites participants to explore Indigenous presence on the map of Turtle Island/Canada, the history of Settler arrival, and their relationship to one another. It also offers an opportunity for learning and reflection on the concepts of Terra Nullius (empty land), the Doctrine of Discovery and Indigenous knowledge, enabling individuals and groups to imagine how both personal and collective journeys toward a just, respectful and healing relationship might look.
