Zoom to Church (Sundays, 10am)

Epiphanytide Prayer & Discussion (Wednesdays, 7:30pm)

All Saints’ Church is a growing, Christ-centred community that seeks
to share the message of God’s love and put faith into action.

The Anglican community of All Saints has been meeting, working, and worshipping in the heart of Whitby since 1866. As a place of worship, we are older than Canada; as a people of faith, we strive constantly to be fresh, responsive, and forward-thinking in our relationship with God and in our care for others.

Why not come by on a Sunday morning?

Visiting for the first time?

Music

The music of All Saints’ encompasses traditional cathedral music, choral arrangements of contemporary praise choruses, familiar Anglican and English-language hymns, as well as a number of popular new hymn texts and tunes. Typically the services include four or five songs that we sing together, as well as some other musical offerings (acoustic guitars or soloists) or an anthem by the Chancel Choir. The high ceiling and open space of our church make for excellent acoustics for choral and congregational singing. The main instruments used in worship are a 2000-pipe organ, originally built in 1935 … Read More »

Children & Youth

All Saints’ strives to provide an easy and comfortable experience for children (and the adults who bring them). That may mean children working in the pew with one of our specially-made activity packs*, toddling in the aisle, or joining in our Nursery, Sunday School, or youth program. We want children to enjoy their place in the church and the place of the church in their lives. Sunday School is offered at the 9:30am service for children ages 3 and up. Just after the opening hymn, children are invited to meet our Sunday School teachers by the pulpit and make their way to the parish hall. … Read More »

Learning

Learning is a lifelong activity. Ongoing learning is an important element of our spiritual lives. At All Saints’ we provide spiritual growth and learning opportunities for people of all ages. Of course the mainstay of our teaching is the weekly sermons, but we also have the following: Small Study Groups: Several groups run at various times throughout the year, including a book club, movie club, weekly Bible Study, and a summer “walk & learn” group, as well as special-topic study and discussion groups that meet in people’s homes and follow a set curriculum. Seasonal Studies: During … Read More »

Community

All Saints’ is actively involved in a variety of ministries and programs in our neighbourhood, town, and region. We are mindful that many families and individuals in our area struggle every day with food insecurity, health issues, isolation or alienation, and worries over job availability or housing. We feel called by the Spirit and Christ’s example to share our time and resources with those whose day-to-day needs are as much material and physical as they are spiritual. To that end, our church operates a “Deacon’s Food Cupboard,” a small permanent food bank that helps over 180 families … Read More »

On a Sunday

Worship is central to life at All Saints’.

The vision that shapes our time together on a Sunday is simple:
we focus on God and we leave with a greater sense of hope and joy.

Our services are shaped by Anglican tradition and tailored to be relevant to your daily life and spiritual journey.

Come see where that hope and joy comes from

January 21, 2021

Thoughts of the Day on Thursdays this month are part of a special series in Epiphanytide where members of our congregation share stories of their own Epiphany moments.  Today’s reflection is by Joyce Ibbott-Belvin Thursday, January 21 A number of years ago now, I sat beside my father’s hospital bed with my mother and sisters as my father was coming to the end of his earthly life. Gary’s Thought & Prayer for the Day

January 19, 2021

Tuesday, January 19   So, as we are now nineteen days into 2021, how is that New Year’s resolution you recently made working out?  For the last several years, I have declined to make any such promises, be they for self-improvement, cutting something out that would benefit me in some way, or setting a lofty target that leads to an Everest-like sense of achievement by December 31st.  But this year I thought I would give it a try again, and... In this new year, we focus on the journey, symbolized by the arrival of the magi, to meet the living God and grow in faith as we walk together through the winter weeks of Epiphany. Though we are locked down in our secular lives, we can still reach out to each other and God in faith formation and fellowship. If you enjoyed our Advent Oasis series, consider keeping...
