We have received 120 applications for hampers so far this year, which includes 187 children and youth.
This is an increase of 35 hampers over last year. It will cost over $12,000 to support these families, even at a slightly reduced level. Gift cards have been ordered to meet the Hamper deadline.
Cash donations from parishioners provide the majority of funds to pay for these cards . We need your generous support.
Each December for over 50 years, All Saints has provided assistance during the holiday season to individuals and families. Our Christmas Hamper program has evolved to provide families in need with grocery and retail gift cards so they can shop for gifts with dignity and choice.
Please make your cash donation by placing an envelope on the collection plate, dropping off a contribution to. the church office, by etransfer to allsaintswhitby@nullbellnet.ca or online via the parish website. However you contribute, please mark clearly that your donation is for the “Christmas Hamper Ministry.”
To accompany the gift cards we also offer a Christmas marketplace that has items such as gift wrap, small decorations, school supplies and warm socks. Donations are welcome for this as well. Donations for the Christmas Marketplace are needed no later than December 3rd. Cash donations for the hampers are encouraged by the same date but are gratefully received until the end of December.
