The Wardens are delighted to announce that our new Incumbent, the Reverend Jennifer Schick, will be joining All Saints on November 29th, 2020, the first Sunday of Advent.
The Rev. Jennifer Schick is an enthusiastic and compassionate disciple of Christ, who is focused on helping all members of the Christian community to share in, as well as be, the body of Christ.
With a background in international development and experience with organizations such as World Vision Canada, Jennifer felt a call to ordained ministry and received her Masters of Divinity from the University of Toronto’s Trinity College and was ordained to the priesthood in 2011.
Following her curacy at St. Cuthbert, Leaside, Jennifer joined the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Toronto as Associate Priest for Children and Youth, where she empowered volunteers to nurture discipleship among everyone from toddlers to teens through a wide range of programming. At the Church of St. Bede, Jennifer served as Priest-in-Charge, where she strengthened the congregation by helping grow outreach and other ministries, established a local ministerial and led a variety of digital services, Bible studies and other programs. Jennifer lives in Toronto with her husband and three children and when not working enjoys travel, reading, baking and spending time outdoors.
On behalf of us all, the wardens have expressed profound thanks to the members of the Parish Selection Committee for their diligent, patient and faithful work during the selection process.
We give thanks also to Fr. Geoff and to the parish staff and leadership team for faithfully shepherding the church during this interim period.
We pray for our brothers and sisters at St Bede’s as they begin their own season of transition.
We pray for also for Jennifer and her family as they conclude their time at St. Bede and prepare to begin a new ministry at All Saints. We look forward to November when we can willingly and joyfully place ourselves under Jennifer’s servant leadership.
