Starting on November 21,
we will have three services in person on Sundays
at 8:00am, 9:30am and 11am.
(Please note the new times.)
Note also we are keeping the Zoom option for the 11am service.
Here’s more that you need to know …
The choir will return to singing at the 11am service. Under the new Diocesan guidelines, we are also able to welcome back a socially distanced choir. Congregational singing is still not allowed but if you really want to sing, our Music Director Adriaan is welcoming new choir members! For those accustomed to serving in other ways during the worship service, stay tuned for more information. We look forward to welcoming our various lay leaders back into their ministry roles bit by bit in the weeks ahead.
The 11am service will continue to become a hybrid service, that is, you can still join and participate in the service live via Zoom. The link to join on a Sunday at 11am remains the same. If you are not yet comfortable or ready to return to church in person or if you join us from a distance, we look forward to continuing to welcome you and visitors and friends via this medium. The order of service will continue to be posted on the Upcoming Services page. (If you have been attending by Zoom in the past, nothing else need to change for you, except you have an extra hour on Sunday morning to sleep in, brew coffee your coffee, or fit in a walk before church).
For those joining us in person, please register for your preferred service online. Under our Diocesan guidelines we still need to control attendance numbers and collect contact tracing information. You can register on the Upcoming Services page or by calling Maria at the office, 905-668-5101. Online registration is open 11am Monday to 11am Friday each week. If you forget or miss the registration window, don’t fret. A small number of space will be left open for walk-ins.
This is all good news but we’re not back to normal quite yet. While we feel this is a step in the right direction, we recognize that COVID still poses a real and serious health threat, and we will continue to ask all members worshipping in person to maintain social distancing, continue to wear masks, and refrain from socializing on church grounds.
We are a people of hope and faith. We know that this time shall one day pass and we will gather again, not just for Sunday worship but for cake and coffee too. We will sing again together as with one voice, and our church will be full again. But in the meantime we go forward step by step, guided by the wisdom of our leaders, trusting in the mercy of God, and with prayer.
We look forward to seeing you
in person at 8:00am or 9:30am
or in person or via Zoom at 11am!
And don’t forget our midweek prayer service
on Wednesdays at 12pm.
