Last Sunday, All Saints’ welcomed and recognized the Rev. Jack Roney and his family as part of the special anniversary service. The Rev. Roney was Incumbent of All Saints’ from 1969 to 1983. This year marks the 60th anniversary of his ordination in the Anglican Church. On Sunday, he preached animatedly on the Miracle at the Wedding of Cana, inviting participation from the congregation. He also celebrated the Eucharist, almost exactly 47 years to the day since he first celebrated communion here as All Saints’ Incumbent.
We were delighted to mark this occasion with the Rev. Roney and to have him as the first of several guest clergy in this sesquicentennial year. We are even more delighted to have the Rev. Roney as a regular member of All Saints and a weekly presence at our Sunday services.
Thank you, Father Roney, for being a part of our 150th celebration!
