The Lenten journey has taken a new direction as services have been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The church building may be closed, but faith is never cancelled and God is with each us wherever we are.
Throughout the forty days of Lent we continue to focus on prayer, fasting, and giving to others, mindful that while the cares of the present day are sometimes foremost in our minds, we are still called as people of God to resist temptation and focus on what it is to be church in the modern world — remembering we are the hands and feet and voice of God in a world that sometimes feels chaotic and harsh.
We invite you to take part in our Lenten prayer and alms project. In support of our ‘Deacon’s Cupboard’ food bank and its ministry to those experiencing food shortage or food insecurity, we are offering a special Lenten program that prompts you daily to reflect and pray and give in an intentional and focussed way for the next 40 days. Follow the daily prayer/giving calendar on our parish Prayer Life webpage here or follow All Saints on Twitter or Instagram to see daily prompts.
