The Bazaar is coming up on Saturday November 12, 2022.
We need helpers to setup tables, etc on Wednesday November 9th and Thursday November 10th. If you are available and willing to help setup on those days your assistance would be greatly appreciated. This would be a good opportunity for any high school students looking to accumulate some volunteer hours. In particular as the preserves table needs able bodied folks to carry the boxes of preserves from the church basement cupboards to the parish hall.
Silent Auction… Please contact Linda Finigan if you have good quality items that you are willing to donate. We are looking for new or gently used products, donations from any ‘connections’ (product donations from retailers, etc), jewellery, or treasures from downsizing. Contact her at email@example.com if you have any questions regarding suitability of possible donations for the silent auction.
Book Table… Ideally, we are looking for fiction published later than 2010. Please note: Fiction is preferred as they sell best. Generally speaking, non-fiction publications that sell best are books about sports, cookbooks, crafts and recent history. Things we DON’T need… Granny’s encyclopedia Britannica or any other aged science/information books as the information gets outdated very quickly and are thus useless. Books that don’t get sold have to be taken away by our volunteers which isn’t fair to them.
Bake Table… Pies, loaves and date squares sell best. Less popular items are cupcakes. We are asking that all baked goods be on paper plates and covered with saran wrap to avoid anyone touching items or opening tins or boxes. If you have any questions, please contact Sandy Butler at 905.666.9622
Donations for the Christmas, Classic Treasures, Jewellery, Knitting are always welcome.
Upcoming Meeting Dates:
Tuesday, October 11th at 7:00pm in the parish hall.
Tuesday November 1st at 7:00pm in the parish hall.
If you have any questions, please contact Adriaan at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not use Adriaan’s personal email as he’d like to keep all the bazaar correspondence in one place.
